James Barr has been instructed to provide planning advice and support for a detailed planning application for a new High School in Helensburgh. The existing school has been deemed by the Council as no longer being fit for purpose and a new school is sought. Precept, as part of a wider bid, has been selected to redevelop the Council schools and in Helensburgh's case, it has been decided that a new school on a greenbelt site close to the existing site is the best option. In this context, James Barr has provided supporting justification for the consideration of the new school in the context of national, strategic and local plan policy.
