James Barr's involvement with Glasgow Royal Concert Hall began with an initial inspection to consider the reasons for water ingress from the roof.  Following this inspection we recommended a Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme which has since allowed capital projects to be taken forward and be funded in a prioritized and planned manner.

We have recently replaced all of the single ply membrane flat inverted roofs with a more appropriate 3 layer felt application which is harder wearing to heavily trafficked roof surfaces.

We also managed the replacement of two chiller units providing cooling to the main auditorium.  This project involved difficult crane lifting operations and required structural engineering input.

Finally, we have now completed the refurbishment of the external wall cladding to all facades due to early failure of the original material.  This was a challenge in terms of accurate defect diagnosis and specification.

Our valuation department recently carried out a Capital Valuation exercise and we also provide GRCH with Business Rating advice.
