Alex joined James Barr in Spring 2002 as Planning Director, following spells with Argyll & Bute, South Lanarkshire Council, Robert Turley Associates and GVA Grimley. With nearly 18 years in the planning field, his experience encompasses a full range of planning and development services to both the private and public sectors, including development appraisals, local plan submission, planning applications, appeals and Public Inquiries. Alex's specialism is in retail and commercial development, where he has been involved in a number of significant retail schemes throughout the Central Belt.
