Land Energy Limited have identified two former brownfield sites on which to locate their  wood pellet production facilities.  James barr were instrumental in securing planning permission for both sites, which are located in Girvan, southern Scotland and Presteigne, Powys Wales. 

The projects will see Land Energy make use of redundant brownfield sites and buildings to create jobs in the green energy sector.  Both plants will use locally sourced virgin timber to manufacture the pellets and will be powered by on site biomass facilities, making the wood pellet manufacturing process 100% self sufficient in terms of energy demand.
