Steel giant Corus has appointed James Barr as joint letting agents on its former engineering works at Mossend, Lanarkshire. The facility, which totals some 214,019 sq ft (19,882 sq m) across a substantial high bay heavy engineering building and offices, is being marketed as budget warehouse space.

Yan Stewart of James Barr comments:

“There is a distinct lack of affordable high bay warehousing in Lanarkshire, capable of accommodating price-driven short term contracts.  Our clients appreciate many requirements are now contract driven and are therefore prepared to tailor a flexible leasing deal to reflect the needs of these requirements. The unit also benefits from a range of cranage which will no doubt appeal to a variety of potential tenants and the close proximity to the Mossend Rail Freight Terminal is also an added benefit."

Located off the A775 at Main Street, Bellshill, the warehousing facility (203,223 sq ft/18,879 sq m) has three bays, each with eaves between 9 and 18 metres. The two-storey office block (10,796 sq ft/1,003 sq m), accessible from both the yard and the warehouse across, also houses staff canteen and changing facilities. An extensive yard, car parking
