MEPC and James Barr have announced that one of the largest lift contractors in the UK, Apollo Lifts, has leased a unit of 2,000sq ft at Nasmyth Road South in Hillington Park on a five year lease at £12,000 per annum.   

James Barr on behalf MEPC, has also let 10,000sq ft on Montrose Avenue to an undisclosed public body on a 5 year lease at a rental of £4.25 per sq ft. Also on the estate, Balfour Kilpatrick has leased a unit of 7,500 sq ft on Carlyle Avenue and Tradebalance Ltd, an associated company of Tilemania, has leased a unit of 8,200 sq ft on Earl Haig Road. 

Acting on behalf of MEPC, Michael McDowall, of joint letting agent James Barr, said 

"Tilemania, who are based in St Andrews House at Hillington required expansion space for their tiling business. It was required specifically for storage purposes and we were able to offer a very attractive rental on this property as it had restricted services and was therefore ideally suited for this type of use".
 
Andrew Kerr of the landlord, MEPC, added
 
"It is a good sign that companies are still expanding in the current climate. This transaction reflects the variety and specification of properties we have available on Hillington Park".

Within Kelvin Gate, MEPC’s new build development, BMI Hose (Europe) Ltd has taken a new ten year lease on Unit 10 at £7.50 per sq ft. Andrew Kerr of MEPC said 

"We are delighted that BMI Hose has chosen Hillington Park as the preferred location in the west. We now have 8 units ranging in size from 1,500 sq ft to 3,500 sq ft available and are offering the first year at half rent as an incentive to help out occupiers in their first year".
