James Barr has been instructed by Scottish Enterprise Dumfries and Galloway to undertake a retail capacity and impact assessment in relation to the development proposals for Stranraer Waterfront.
SE Dumfries and Galloway (SEDG) together with Dumfries & Galloway Council (DGC), have prepared a Development Framework for the Stranraer Waterfront site that provides a strategic framework for regenerating the area. This framework includes residential, retail and business accommodation but also takes advantage of the growing demand for marine and leisure activities.
The assessment was undertaken as part of a wider appraisal by EKOS Economics and Regeneration who have been appointed to prepare a Project Appraisal Plan to support the funding and delivery of the Development Framework
